Kirk has been working in high performance and distributed computing for more than 20 years. His focus has primarily been on performance, working on architecting, developing, and tuning applications. Kirk specializes in performance tuning Java™ applications. He is the author of jPDM, a comprehensive performance tuning methodology. In 2006 Kirk was recognized as a Java Champion recipient for his contributions to the Java community.
